I'm an avid knife maker. I've been making knives for fun the past 15 years. Forging and making knives is my passion. As my skills increased I started making knives as a part time job. I sole authorship each knife, meaning I make the knife and sheath from start to finish.
I like to use recycled items in my knives, leaf springs, coil springs, chainsaw chain, ect. I like the idea of taking something that others think of as scrap and make a beautiful knife. In the days of real blacksmiths nothing was thrown away , it was all reused.
The knives are made here in the U.S. I pride myself and my knives on a few things: The knives I make should last a lifetime with proper care and use. My knives are both functional and good looking. They do not look like something that came out of a box from a store. Each knife has it's own character and beauty that can't be mass produced. My customers are very happy with their purchases.
Making knives by hand is labor intensive. It usually take 5-7 days to complete one knife and sheath. All of my knives are heat treated and tempered. I test all of my knives for proper flex and edge holding. My sheaths are made of high quality leather and are dyed and hand stiched. I do not do custom orders because it takes all the fun out of making something I dreamed up :) I only sell my knives on Ebay. My work is stamped with N8 Knives. I am changing my stamp to just N8 on future knives.
Interested in purchasing my knives? I list on Ebay. Seller name N8Knives or just search N8 Knives.
